Description	From the Rankin (Annie) Papers. Four-page handwritten letter from Annie Rankin to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stewart, with accompanying one-page report of activities. The letter is signed Mr. and Mrs. Judge Rankin. Rankin writes of her civil rights work among poor residents of Jefferson and Adams counties in Mississippi. She writes of helping some residents to obtain their Social Security benefits. The attached report provides information on the death by bombing of Wallace Jackson on February 27, 1967, the first day of his new job. Rankin's husband was denied aid; Rankin attributes the action to be retribution against her family for her testimony about food stamps.
