Description	From the George A. Owens Papers. Dr. Beittel replies to earlier letters from Mrs. Ezelle on the subject of race relations and the civil rights movement. He challenges her statements about Africans Americans as an "immature race" and asserts that what African Americans want is their rights as American citizens. After making a reference to Martin Luther King Jr., Beittel closes by stating that African American ministers and other civil rights leaders in Jackson, Miss. would rather achieve their aims without demonstrations, but that they will use such nonviolent means if they must.
