statement
from
Mrs

Ezelle
,
written
in
1963
, in
which
she
expresses
the
need
for
white
and
black
Christians
to
work
together
to
improve
conditions
for
all
underprivileged
persons
and to
cultivate
mutual
respect
"
within
the
compass
of
segregation.
" Her
handwritten
note
closes
with an
expression
of
concern
that
Galloway
will be "
destroyed
" if there
is
continued
pressure
for
integration
of the
church
.
