Description	From the McRee (James F.) Papers. The letter was sent with Taylor's report of project activities during two weeks dating from July 25 to August 8, 1966. Tougaloo collection does not have the report. In the letter, Taylor emphasized it was not too difficult to get African Americans who own their own homes to register to vote, but it was very difficult to get plantation workers to register. The only way to approach African Americans who live in plantations was to send leaflets to the church of the community where they live.
