The
letter
was
sent
with
Taylor's
report
of
project
activities
during
two
weeks
dating
from
July
25
to
August
8
,
1966
.
Tougaloo
collection
does
not have the
report
. In the
letter
,
Taylor
emphasized
it
was not
too
difficult
to
get
African
Americans
who
own
their
own
homes
to
register
to
vote
, but
it
was
very
difficult
to
get
plantation
workers
to
register
. The
only
way
to
approach
African
Americans
who
live
in
plantations
was to
send
leaflets
to the
church
of the
community
where
they
live
.
